Still Swaddled

Brynn is getting too strong for her swaddle. She keeps getting her right arm loose. So now we are trying to wean her from it. She sleeps ok with one arm out at night, but not for naps. She took two naps on her belly today with one arm out. Her first belly sleep. I was a little nervous but she slept well. She is still in a bassinet in our room. Yes, we plan to get her in the crib some time soon! The funny thing is that she sleeps well in her car seat and stroller without being swaddled.
Here she is awake for one of her naps. Little rascal took her pacifier out!

There was too much activity that night with Grandma Linda and Grandpa Jim visiting. She had a hard time falling asleep. Here's sleepy Brynn with Grandma Linda.

Food, Glorious Food!

Brynn loves eating, especially if she can feed herself. Her favorite foods so far are steamed broccoli and strawberries.
She eats lots of other foods including asparagus, sweet potatoe, white potatoe, steamed carrot, banana, apple, oatmeal, rice cereal (which she hates), Cheerios, Gerber Puffs, baby rice cakes, chicken and roast beef (we give her a big piece and she chews and sucks on it). She does NOT like mushy baby food. Must take after her daddy. He won't eat something if the texture isn't right.
She also loves water just like her momma. She especially loves taking sips of my ice water from the sports lid of my water bottle. I discovered that last week when we were out doing errands and I forgot her sippy cup.

See the tiny broccoli pieces.

Come back here strawberry!

The perfect breakfast for a happy baby
(banana, strawberries and oatmeal)

Here she ate most of the florets off the broccoli and is working on a piece of apple.

Firsts

First Ball

First Sunglasses
(a gift from Grandma Linda)

First time holding the sippy cup on her own

First Tooth
(the one on her right came first)

It's right here Mommy!

First and Only Frozen Carrot
(Someone said this was good for teething but it's too messy)

First Terd
All that solid food makes for solid poops!
This is especially for those who don't believe that Brynn knows when she has to relieve herself and that she communicates her need to me.
(Sorry, couldn't resist! Hey I'm a nurse. Poop doesn't bother me!)

Fun With Daddy

Greg HAD to put her collar up! One cool kid!
