Car Seat Safety

I feel the need to write about car seat safety. I think too many parents just don't know what is safest for their children. I had no clue until I started looking into a convertible car seat for Brynn a few months ago. I spent hours online reading, viewing videos and photos, and comparing carseats. The main points are that a child should remain rear facing as long as possible (up to 35lbs) and in a 5 point harness as long as possible (up to 80lbs).

The Kyle David Miller Foundation web site has pretty much all the info you need to make an informed decision about the safety of your child. Be sure to watch Kyle's video on the Home page (beware, it will make you cry) and to read Car Seat Info.

Green Grass

Yesterday we played in our back yard. It was Brynn's first time playing in the grass. Of course she got some in her mouth too. Here she is doing the army crawl. She's getting pretty quick!

She loves tickles!

This goes in my mouth!

Cold Turkey

This is the last picture we have of Brynn in her swaddle. A few weeks ago she fell asleep with both arms out and we haven't turned back! That was the last night she was in the swaddle. We're elated it was so easy. What a good sleeper! She's turned into a belly sleeper like her daddy. Yes, she's playing with my sunglasses.

Memorial Day

We visited Grandma Brenda and Grandpa Frank at their summer home in Lilliwaup for the holiday. Brynn loved her first pool experience. She kicked and splashed. When she kicked in her little lady bug it turned in circles! Pretty cute!

I've HAD it with the pureed kale Mom!

Precious!
